District Nurses

Our District Nursing Team is supported by registered general nurses and care assistants. The team works closely with family doctors, hospitals, social services and voluntary agencies to help meet people's health needs. Patients are often referred by their own doctor or hospital but anyone can have access to district nursing services.

The Team offers skilled nursing care to people who are ill or those who are recovering from an illness.

It also offers training and support to carers. The District Nurse will plan your care with you and your carer. This plan is left in your home and regularly updated to suit your health needs.

Equipment loans and assessment for any aids can be arranged.

Advice and support is available to overcome most incontinence problems.
