In the Priory Medical Group all the staff work as a team. Our 5 surgeries are all linked by computer and several of our staff work at more than one surgery.

Members of our team include: 13 Doctors, 2 Clinical Assistants, 6 Practice Nurses, 17 District Nurses, 5 Health Visitors, and 3 Midwives.
These all work together to provide a high standard of Health Care.

PLEASE HELP US TO MAINTAIN A HIGH STANDARD OF SERVICE TO YOU BY:

Cancelling any appointments which you no longer need
Notifying your surgery if you change your name, address or telephone number
Requesting home visits BEFORE 10.00am
Ringing/visiting your surgery AFTER 10.00am for routine queries and prescriptions
Using the tear-off slip attached to your prescription when requesting further supplies of medication
Supplying surgery staff with the necessary information when requested

The District Nursing Team
District nurses are supported by registered general nurses and care assistants. The team works closely with family doctors, hospitals, social services and voluntary agencies to help meet people's health needs. Patients are referred by their own doctor or hospital but anyone can have access to district nursing services.

The team offers skilled nursing care to people who are ill or recovering from an illness. It also offers training and support to carers. The district nurse will plan your care with you and your carer. This plan is left in your home and regularly updated to suit your health needs. Equipment loans and assessment for any aids can be arranged.

Advice and support is available to overcome most incontinence problems.

Health Visitor Team

Health visitors are qualified nurses with special training and experience in child health, health promotion and health education. They are supported by care assistants and are available to everyone regardless of age or sex.

Each of the five surgeries has a named health visitor. Health visitors are subject to a code of professional conduct requiring them to act at all times in your interest. Typical situations where a health visitor can help are:

The health of your baby or young child.
The impact of a new baby on the family.
Your emotional wellbeing.
Caring for elderly relatives or friends.
Healthy ageing - from adolescence to retirement.
Healthy lifestyle.

If they are unable to help you themselves, the health visitor will know how and when to find the help you need.
